Theres also a lot of hatching and cross hatching within the background and characters to add shadows and depth to the comic.

I think it's strange how in the first half of the comic a character says "war is not the answer" but he also says "krypton has to be cleansed" so how are they going to cleanse a planet without war? I am observing this bizarre hypocrisy

The two most prominent colors are red and blue and there seems to be a reoccurring theme with fire. The two main points of the story seem to be the mystery around superman's intrusive memory and Rogol Zaar's issue with krypton.

Rogol Zarr's Speech Bubbles

Rogol Zarr's speech bubbles are colored black with a white outline which is the opposite of standard speech bubbles. This and the speech bubbles being drawn more shaky also helps build his character as it gives his voice a dark foreboding sound.

"Show me the money" is an allusion to the movie Jerry Maguire. For so few words it is relying on pop culture knowledge to make a point.

Appa Ali Aspa belongs to a race called the Guardians of the Universe who founded the Green Lantern Corps, a sort of interstellar law agency, which Green Lantern serves on. He is part of the circle, who Rogol Zarr was talking to in the start of the comic.

There's a lot of onomatopoeia. Onomatopoeia is used in comics to illustrate noises in the comic that can't be heard so artists display them for the reader to read and think about what has a similar sound (I.e Aagghh which is to display emotions of frustration, annoyance, anger, or general displeasure.)

Also, I see that there are power words that are either bolded/italicized for the reader to see a dialogue between characters and the conflict between the characters for more dramatic effect.
