I have been on this ship for what feels like forever and I miss my family and my normal life. I haven’t seen regular daylight in a month and people around me are getting so sick they are dropping dead and screaming with pain. I can feel them struggling to stay alive and I can feel them moving our shackles cuff by cuff. I have seen what happens to the ill. They are given so many pills they can barley even swallow them and they get wiped if they don’t swallow them. When I go to get my haircut he holds me by my nose and shaves my head. And when I get to eat I barley get anything. It’s a little bit of rice and that’s it. We have to urinate we’re the women wash there things. I am terrified to see what else could happen. Please help.

What’s going on, where am I? “Your on a boat, being transported to a new world” said someone across from me. I could here yelling somewhere else on this boat. I heard the splash outside, I couldn’t see what it was, but it definitely wasn’t good. In a weak voice I said “Is ttthhat what is gggoing to happen to us?” “No, only the sick ones meet that fate”said the boy next to me. Everyone in this part of the boat turned their heads to see a group of armed people with guns walk into the door. One of them smelled awful, like he was a rotting corpse. Another person said “if I hear one more sound out of any of you, you’re being fed to the sharks.” I thought “oh no I’m going to die!!” I thought “why me what did I do to deserve this?” “Im gonna be working the rest of my life, separated from my family.”

Next to me, there is a man, he has measles. I don’t know where I’m going, where my family is, or if I can go sto the bathroom anytime soon. I see people being whipped beside me. Force fed to eat medicine. The man beside me, coughing horrendously, dying. I feel myself getting sick. For countless days I have been on this ship. Longing to get home, eat something made from my mother’s hands. I’m restless, could not sleep all the days I’ve been here. Shackled to the man next to me, I’m thinking, will this disease spread. The reason I could not sleep is because of the tremendously horrifying smell and the trauma I experienced watching men die. I want to die, I want to get rid of this torture. I’ve been wondering forever, where am I? Why are they taking me across the seas. I see people fighting off this cuffs, but they simply don’t understand. I’ve tried to get my self off, slip off of these shackles but I cannot. God save me, or let me die.
