In this case, the motivators used are related to good wages as well as good working conditions. However, according to Herzbergs Theory, these are not the only things that motivate employees to be productive. Other forms of motivators are thing such as recognition, achievements or rewards. For the case of Mr Alok, his employees may have been paid well however they were not given recognition for their hard work and that their benefits scheme was based on longevity in the workplace rather than performance. Thus, workers did not feel as accomplished and as such they became unmotivated and unproductive.

Money, good working conditions or fringe benefits are not enough to motivate employees. According to Maslow's hierarchy of needs, self-actualisation and a sense of belonging in the company are motivations to the employees. Those motivations are lacking in this case, so the employees are not working efficiently.

According to Maslow's hierarchy of needs, money is not the only form motivation for employees. Firstly, we think we have to ensure that the salary we offer to the employee is reasonable. Next, we should then make an effort to help them develop self-actualisation and sense of belonging. For example, we can affirm and reward them for their contributions. We should also be providing a comfortable and fair workplace. Lastly, we should revise the benefits scheme to reward workers based on their performances rather than their time spent at the company.

In the article, using salaries to improve and motivative employees work positive attitudes. One of the factors is motivators, which encourage employees to work harder and efficiently. Meanwhile, it increases employees responsibility and achievement growth. According to Mr Alox case, the employees have not understood their responsibilities. Because they have good salaries without positive working attitudes.

Although employees need higher salaries, they need other necessary incentives. According to the Herzberg theory, it is divided into two factors. Managers need to use some motivating ways to improve the employees working attitudes. When their attitudes improved, it can increase the working efficiency and productivity.
