Maria is such an asset to my classroom and our ELL students. She has a wonderful relationship with all the students. She is firm, but kind. They know she has high expectations of them, and they try to live up to them. My Spanish is lacking in many ways and Maria is always there to translate for me and provide clarity to our students. My classroom and our students could not be successful without her!

She embodies all the characteristics of an amazing teacher. I admire her teaching style, and the way she captivates the students during her lessons.  It truly is fascinating to watch her teach. I love that the students know the expectations and have an established routine. I believe that she has the best classroom management skills that I have ever seen in a teacher and that is essential for academic learning since it devotes the entirety of the time to the lesson.

I cannot imagine how she has managed to hold it together.  She is doing the work of 3 people.  I watched her when Tausha left and then Melissa.  Each time, she stepped up and did the work of two people, and then three.  She gives 100% every single day that she is here and she is ALWAYS here for our students.  I have watched her interactions and it is apparent that she has a special relationship with the students she serves.  (as well as others!)  Not only is Ms. Feldman here for students, she is always available to support her fellow teachers, lend an ear, or share her positive "can do" attitude.  Ms. Feldman always goes the extra mile for all and I have admired and respected her ever since my arrival at IMS.
