         <description><![CDATA[<div>« Les planches de Deauville » were built by Charles Adda in 1923 in Deauville, a very fancy town by the sea, in Normandy.<br><br></div><div>This 643 meter long woodden floor was made on purpose for women not to dirty their dresses when walking on the seaside but now it’s a famous embankment. If you need to change clothes and put your swim suit on, there are some beach huts. Next to each beach hut, there is the name of a star who came to Deauville.<br><br></div>]]></description>

Napoleon decided its creation and it was designed by Jean-François-Thérèse Chalgrin to celebrate the victory of the Imperial Army. It is 50 meters high and overlooks the Champs Elysées Avenue.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The Bayeux Tapestry tells the story of Guillaume le Conquérant (William the Conqueror) like in a comic strip.</div><div> </div><div>This story tells about the invasion of England in 1066 by the Normans and the battle between the armies of Harold, England’s new king, a traitor, and Guillaume. The tapestry is about 70 meters long but the end is missing.</div><div><br> This tapestry was probably commissioned by the bishop of Bayeux in Normandy, one of Guillaume’s half-brothers. The tapestry was exposed in the church of Bayeux. it is very important to historians today but it was ignored and damaged in the past. You can now see the tapestry in a Bayeux museum.</div><div> </div>]]></description>

         <title>THE SOULEUVRE VIADUCT</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>This viaduct was created between 1887 and 1889 in Souleuvre En Bocage in the Calvados departement in Normandy. This railway viaduct was made to cross the valley overlooking the Souleuvre River, connecting Caen and Saint-Lô to Vire by train.</div><div>Today, there is no train running but there is an amusement park with attractions like zip lines, bungee jumping, pendulum jump and a rail sledge. There is also a restaurant. This park was created by Alan John Hackett in 1988, a New Zealander and a famous bungee jumper.</div>]]></description>
