During P5 ALP project, which is about saving endangered animals, my 2 of my friends and 3 of my classmates grouped up with me. So I was in charged of bringing the materials and researching some information online about the animal that we were saving. We decided to do the slides at 5.00 p.m. at home as all of us were free on that time. My team members and I contributed greatly and completed the slide in 1 hour. My team and I then proceeded to start building the enclosure and since all of us were able to chip in, we finished the enclosure in 3 days.

During an ALP, I was assigned as the group leader and I had to lead my group into producing a power point slide on urban farming. We did most of the work online due to the lockdown but had a due date. Thus, we had to find ways around to finish the group project before the deadline. I had to arrange zoom meetings and we discussed on how to make the presentation more interesting. We had to find a way to write out the script together to know when we come in when speaking. Our group put up with the stress and managed to finish the project on time. As a result, we were awarded one of the best groups for this project in our class. Not only did they contribute very less ideas and played a fool, they also had to do corrections as they were too irresponsible. My friend and I had no choice but to cut the story into a shorter one and wrote the story into a less-idea composition.

During the second round of the debate, halfway through I fell sick and was unable to attend school for three days. The third day was when our last practice session for round two would commence. I wanted to tell her to not do it as she was already stressed out when her parents pressured her to get into RGS. But she adamantly told me no. In mother tongue class, the class was assigned to plan out a composition story plot in teams of 4. The teacher assigned our groups and told us to plan out a proper story plot together. When we first started, I was planning a story in my head, and thinking if it was relevant to the topic we were supposed to write on. However, one of my teammates had already gave an opinion on the starting, and since none of us disagreed to the idea, my teammates wrote down the idea. Since I was able to listen to others’ opinions and adapt, I decided to go with the idea and keep my idea to myself. However, as we were planning the story along the way, I tried to give an opinion so as to try and contribute to the team, but others just said they did not want to add in the idea and went on with theirs instead.

During English lesson, my class was writing a composition in groups. In my group, one of my group members did not want to write anything. Not to panic when they are under pressure. Time limit, peer pressure, etc.
Providing a listening ear to everyone who needs it, whether someone with a problem or someone who is contributing an idea in your group.
Comprehensive. Leaders need to be able to try to make as many people as possible happy through tying ideas together.
Communication skills. Leaders need to encourage ideas and give a good conclusions to every conversation.
Asking questions. Nobody will scold you if you want to want to clarify something!
