Thriving means living without limits and fighting the power. If people keep saying to me, "Walk away Olivia, it's too hard for you", I say, "Forget it guys, you don't know how far I've already come". It works every time.

For me to thrive as a person is important to have a good work, study, family balance, feel good about things I am doing and be kind to myself and others when feeling overwhelmed. It is important to make well thought out decisions to eliminate regrets in the future.

I have found my notion of "success" has changed drastically over time. I think I used to equate it to "excelling". And the concept of "thriving" was an extension of it - a side hustle, an unexpected bonus. Now, though, I don't rate "success" as a concept at all. We are teaching our children that ordinary is not good enough. Average is failure. But not everyone CAN excel, because all that does is raise the bar that everyone must reach to be average. Thriving has, for me, edged success out of the conversation. I don't care about excelling according to anybody else's standards. I now care about exceeding. Exceeding my own expectations, all of which I try to temper rather than push. That makes it easier to exceed! Thriving is, for me, the only form of success worth pursuing. It means, for me, to feel fully and mindfully immersed in something meaningful and fulfilling and purposeful.

Remaining motivated and staying engaged. Learning online is a new and interesting way of learning in these new times ahead. You can set your own pace and learn in your own time. Ensure you set aside regular breaks and commune and engage with others.
