I believe that nurture plays a larger role in human development. Nurture isn't just about how someone is raised but also our experiences. Our experiences help us learn and make better decisions and also grow as people. In the text it stated "... not just a person’s family upbringing, but also everything else they experience in daily life including advertisements, media, education, peer influence, and home environments”(Staff 1). This piece of evidence helps support that nurture plays a much more important role.

I believe that nurture plays a larger role in human development. Nature or genes do play a role but only for the early stages. As soon as you are born, your guardian affects your behavior, personality and actions based on their personal actions, how they take care of you and the influence they have on you. I know this because Some argue that nurture has a larger effect but, genes play a role in the early stages, as your life goes on your parents influence you more and more.

My opinion is that nurture is more important because it is the way that your parents raise you, usually you catch on to the likes and dislikes that they have. Although the twins that were sepereated for many years have many similarites that is just things that they have no control over.

I think that nurture plays a larger role in human development because nurturing happens throughout life and can go on until you are old while nature only happens during those 9 months while being created. I know this because in the text Nature v.s. Nurture they talk about how nurtured is "experience in a daily life".

I believe after doing the research through the texts and videos today that nature plays a bigger role in the development of us as humans. I believe this because in the story even thought the two sisters have been apart for an amount of time they took their first steps on the same day which is not coincidental. Also, they wore the exact same costume for Halloween one year without even telling the other person. Based on that evidence even though they haven't been nurtured the same way they still have many similarities with each other because of them being twins.

In the end, both nature and nurture make up who you are. Therefore, I believe that nature and nurture play an equal role in one's development. In the video previously viewed, a set of twins had been seperated for more than 30 years. But, still shared an equal amount of likes and dislikes, in addition to height, etc.

I believe that both of these ways of human development has an equal amount of importance. Nature includes many important topics as it includes genes and looks. The nurture side of this has many good points also because of how a person's fate could be changed by decisions. One could know this because of how a person could have much influence towards something but still change what they do. As you can see, Nature and Nurture are equally important.

It is clear that genes play some role in the development of individuals . However there is no doubt that nurture has far more influence on individuals than the genes they are born with. My answer is supported by the simple definition of the term nurture. The definition of nurture not only includes the upbringing of child, but also all their experiences.

I think nurturing plays a larger role in human development. I say this because while nature determines traits or certain diseases or disorders you might get in your lifetime, what really determines everyday habits and decisions you make life is how you are raised. For example, If one of your parents smoked during your childhood, this can be an influence towards yourself following in their foot steps and smoke. This is why I believe nurturing plays a larger role in human development.

I think Nurture plays a larger role in human development. An example is native language. "One example of a person's trait that is completely determined by their environment is native language." You're not going to be born with a language in your genes. When growing up you learn a language depending on where you live in the world. You're a clean slate when you enter the world. You learn things and act the way you are taught.

I still believe that nurture plays a larger role in human development. Nurture is how you grow up. By being exposed to "everything [...] in daily life including advertisements, media, education, peer influences, and home environments," (CLS 1), you begin mimic what you see. What you mimic becomes what you do every day. What you do every day turns into the decisions that you make. Decisions turn into experiences, and experiences make you the person you are today.

For example, no matter how much medical expertise there may be, the doctors and specialists in an ICU will not be able to save a baby born with severe and lethal complications. All they may be able to do is extend the life of the baby or make it more comfortable, However, if that baby was born with no ailments and a strong immune system that was given by his or her genes, they will be able to live and will not die, even if the hospital that the baby was born at was not state of the art.

This is because many traits are with us before we are born and carry through our lives even after spending our time exposed to many different environments. The twins in the video spent 35 years way from eachother with completely different lives and experiences, but still ended up having similar traits. So, nature has a larger impact.
