         <description><![CDATA[<div>Before it was called Lowell Massachusetts, it was known as Waltham, Massachusetts. It was renamed after Francis Cabot Lowell's death. It was a village of five farm families in 1821.  In 1836 it grew to more than 10,000 people.  It is described as a model community.</div>]]></description>
