         <description><![CDATA[<div>In 1851, ten thousand Native Americans met with U.S officials near Fort Laramie, Wyoming for some "big talk". The U.S said if the Native Americans would stop hunting the buffalo and move on reservations, their land would be protected. When gold was found on the reservation, many miners swarmed onto the land and broke the treaty.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The Battle of little bighorn took place on June 1, 1876, in the Montana Territory. The battle was started because the Sioux were tired of moving to new reservations. When gold was found on their land, the U.S government told them to move. Two famous chiefs that were a part this battle were Chief Crazy Horse and Chief Sitting Bull. The Native Americans defeated the U.S soldiers and killed Custer and all his men.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The Battle of Wounded Knee was fought near Wounded Knee Creek in South Dakota. The battle was caused when U.S soldiers saw the Native Americans performing the Ghost Dance. The Army saw this as an uprising and began arresting people. A group of Sioux Indians began to flee but were caught. As they were surrendering and giving up their guns a shot was fired, and they army began shooting the Sioux. Two-hundred Sioux men, women, and children were left &nbsp; dead.</div>]]></description>

The U.S government forced the Native Americans to dress, speak, and practice religion the same way as white men.
