Define interaction design and describe how it is different from information architecture, product design and visual design.

Interaction design can be defined as engaging and interactive experiences between people and devices and the characteristics of systems that were created with a goal in mind to create meaningful relationships between people and their devices. Information architecture focuses more on accurately portraying how information is arranged on any application. For example, with information architecture you decide where is the logical place to place a certain piece of information and how the user should look for the information where in interactive design, its main focus revolves around the user, how it is in the user's eyes, how the user will get to the information that they want to find and the design and arrangement of the application should be easy and logical in the eyes of the user. Product design is the creation of a new product or new logo where interaction design is designing to reach out to more users or gain more downloads on their application thus interaction design focuses more on how to attract users. Visual design focuses on making the everything look more appealing to the users and does not take into account with how is the user going to interact with the screen or how the screens will be linked.

Understand the interaction design process that you should adopt in embarking on a mobileapplication project.

The interaction design process consists of define, research, ideate, design, prototype, observing and iterate as needed. For the process, whats most important is to define the problem on hand such that you are able to understand the problem before finding solutions to the problem. Research is always ongoing during the process and should not stop at a certain stage, research is important to generate ideas and solutions and to improve on any possible opportunities along the way. Through the ideation stage, come up with as many ideas as you can and choose 10 of the most viable ideas among them and another 3 best ideas and refine them further. Then, pick only 1 best idea to work on and pursue. In prototyping, create test models of the idea and this will allow us to think through the steps of interactions and evaluate the information that is being presented and lastly to validate the purpose and value of the product. And for the iteration of the product, we observe how others interact with the product and find opportunities to improve the design and make improvements to the prototype till it is ready. When the prototype is ready, monitor the performance and collect data such as usability and use the data to modify and enhance the product.

What are the new consumers expectations? What is the ‘The future of delivery in our new on-demand economy’

The new consumers expectations are that the consumers want what they want, whenever they want it and also at the lowest cost possible. The future of delivery in our new on demand economy will be tailored to new consumer expectations. Tailoring orders according to customers needs such as the exact dimensions and needs of the consumer delivered to them at the lowest cost and with the least impact to the environment. On demand production and only when you get an order do you produce the product which means that you are lower in inventory, cost of production and improving cash flow. Hyperloop transportation method where people could travel in a tube which allows more safety and less cost. Using this technology for products, using the hyperloop transportation system you can get products across locations faster. Consumer expectations will change rules in the manufacturing industry.

One application of an app that can be used to get information online that you would not be able to perform on a website is MoBike, MoBike has a feature that enables you to find a bike using the gps installed on the bike and you can also use your phone's location and the app will determine for you which bike is closest to you and you can reserve the bike. I like this function on MoBike simply due to the fact that this function is found on similar apps such as ofo and obike but MoBike provides the most accurate location on where the bikes are which i feel gives it an edge over its competitors

My reply: I do understand the tight schedule and budget that you have mentioned to me. However, this is the reason why prototyping is much more important than ever. Prototyping limits the expense of development, test out design concepts and refine usability of the product. This limits the risk on investing your money into a project that does not actually fit your needs and align with your ideas.
Client B:
The group of boxes represent where the images will be positioned when the actual application is developed and since prototyping is done solely to focus on the design concepts of the application without spending a large amount of money. Its purpose is to give a brief idea of of the application will look like. The color schemes will be put in after we have confirmed the actual design of the application. lorem ipsum is basically just dummy text and shows where the text will be placed when the application is developed.
Client C:
What i ask for in this process is feedback on the prototype. After each prototyping process, it is important that i get feedback from you and users such that there are no errors that are not related to the intended design.
Prototype:
https://marvelapp.com/3f1ged9
