Q. Can you think of a time when you have made a rapid (non-clinical) judgement about someone that you later found to be incorrect? 
A. Having studied in the same class for 2 semesters, I found one of my peers to be smart. Since I never worked with him before, my judgement was based on his involvement in class. Recently, I got the opportunity to work with him in the same team. To my surprise, in reality he was extremely uninterested in the project and didn't take any initiative whatsoever. Having observed this, I was extremely confused and realised that my judgement was incorrect. 

Q. Can you think of a time when you have made a rapid (non-clinical) judgement about someone that you later found to be correct?
A. A few years ago, I had an acquaintance who I judged to be someone who I would not get along with well as I thought our personalities to be polar opposite. I later did realise that my judgement was correct. 

Q. Think about how you came to that conclusion and how your actions impacted the other person.
A. Maybe my unbiased judgements led to a subconscious change in my behaviour. For example in the second scenario, it is possible that the judgement in my mind never encouraged me to even try being cordial with my friend. How I found my first internship?
I found my first internship via a connection's post on LinkedIn. The post included details about several internship opportunities and the L&D Manager's email address for sending in applications. I then wrote an email to the Learning and Development Manager with my CV and Cover letter attached to it. After a few days, I heard back from them informing me about my shortlisting for the interview round. The interview was scheduled and was canceled twice, due to her busy schedule. I managed to successfully finish my interview the third time and secured my very first internship. Even though I was disheartened when the interview kept getting rescheduled, I'd say that they were quick in their communication. I agree that conflict can be both positive and negative.
Conflict can be positive when it is related to decisions that could possibly impact the organisation as a whole. It is the same logic that is applied to the need for opposition in a democracy.
However, conflict can be negative when it affects ones performance and engagement at work. 
I witnessed a negative conflict at my last internship. As I mentioned in the forum, the conflicts between the AVP HR and Assistant Manager HR were negative to some extent. They majorly resulted into gossiping and negativity.
