Women were first allowed to vote in the U.K in 1918 but even after 1918 they did not enjoy the same rights as men. Historians believe that the situation for women began to drastically change during WWII because women started to find jobs that men previously occupied. This led to women receiving equal rights. Examples of people in the upper class would be monarchs and oligarchs. The middle class is also a respected class in which its members do not struggle but they do not live in luxury. Additionally, members of the middle class can also receive good education. Examples of jobs in the middle class are nurses and police officers. The final class is the lower class. These are the least respected members of society and they are also the least educated and the poorest.
