1) It is very important to have a relationship with your professors, it is best that freshmen live in the dorms instead of the apartments, meeting a lot of new people is important to student success.
2) "Small classes are great. But most colleges also have some wonderful very large classes" and "It only takes two or three close friends and one or two great professors to have a fulfilling college experience."
3) I thought this article brought up some good points about what the average student can do to improve his or her experience, but I would like some more statistical evidence in support of the claims, as well as a larger sample size of students at different kinds of colleges.

The paradox of small classes, you don't really realize that they are small.
c. Most social interactions are made outside of class, typically in clubs/sports.
2) a. “Students who had a single dinner at a professor’s house were significantly more likely to say they would choose the college again.”
b. “In choosing classes, pick the teacher over the topic.”
3) I thought does well by going into what lessons are learned about the overall college experience. However, this is only one school, and before generalizing, I think it would be interesting to learn about other schools and see if there are any connections.

Pick a teacher over a topic for course registration.
2) "Most students don’t make their friends in classes." and "Students who had a single dinner at a professor’s house were significantly more likely to say they would choose the college again."
3) I really agreed with the article because of its emphasis on the social aspect of college life, instead of the usual academic focus. It was an educational and enjoyable read.

Planning everything out doesn't always work well
2) A. "What really matters in college is who meets whom, and when."
B. "It's the people not the programs that make the difference."
3) I agree that people make the learning experience and a professor can either make or break the class. A good professor will make the class enjoyable rather than stressful. Although, I'm not sure if I would pick a teacher over a topic. I wouldn't choose physics over bio because the physics teacher is good and the bio teacher isn't. I would want to learn something I enjoy rather than something I hate. I would be intrinsically motivated to learn something I enjoy.
