What I admired about the rubrics is that it encourages the student to provide more advanced vocabulary. Quarter 4 is one of my favorite quarters because poetry is truly one of my favorite art techniques. We learned so much in this quarter. We learned about sound devices and figurative language, we were informed on how to critique a poem, it's an amazing experience overall. Different poems have different meanings and techniques, some use lyric ways and others use epic ways. Some use obvious words and meanings, others use words that are likely understood when you read between the lines. I use context clues to find out what the poem means, it's unique and easy. This truly was one of the most educational quarters.

I learned many things about poems i learned how to find and write a metaphor, personification, simile, and idioms. I also learned that two poems have different techniques, they can use epic or lyric. I learned about types of poems, rhyme schemes, figures of speech and sound devices. writing a critique about a poem is just about as fun as writing one yourself. when writing a critique you should read a poem at least three times to get the full meaning. we also learned about iambic rhythm and several examples of its uses like sonnet 18.

It tells you your goal and what are the things you need to do to achieve it. It tells you the level you are in, and how to move up in the levels. While at the same time setting your goals and what are the elements of it. For example; in critique, it is about summarizing the poem and mentioning the theme and the main ideas in it. You also mention why the poet wrote this, and what feelings he expressed in it.
