To counter the problem of waste generation, we will "build" a WtE(Waste-to-Energy) Incineration Plant.

How will this work?(simplified)
A WtE Incineration Plant basically collects waste in a bunker to prevent odours from escaping to the environment. The food waste is then burned and generates steam to generate electricity and heat for heating of water in households. The remaining volume of ash is 10% of the original volume, dust and pollutants are removed from the burning and ash can be sent to Semakau Landfill. 
Therefore, waste generated by households can be treated properly through WtE Incineration Plants while generating heat and electricity for households, thus reducing overall wastage and supplying heat and electricity, increasing sustainability in the floating city
