Z is nine years old .She is a second just on the family she does have a big brother.She lives home with mom and dad and grandma.Her mother says she loves to play with her brother at home and she is always interested to new things and interact with everyone in the house.I have seen her in the class too.She is able to communicate with the teacher by using nonverbal words by eye contact and gestures.

As you can see booth children have book,child H is a 11 months old that loves to explore books .

Child Z got distracted from some toys and put the book behind.

The environment gives them the opportunity to extend their language skills by reading but it seems to be mixed with other play areas such small people of animals .

Child Z is very social.She loves the library area /cozy corner. To engage her in literacy and language i would recommend reading and making connections with the child like having repeat words from the book and develop more language skills.

I would recommend teachers and parents works more on sign language taking in consideration the age of the child ,it should be able to express some of the emotions and needs by using signs .

Child Z uses the library area the most to develop language and literacy skills .This area provides more opportunities to develop language skills .

Child Z support her language and literacy skill by interacting with peers during free play time.Another area that promotes language is block area by stocking block and sorting by colors with teachers support.

Music area and little animlas play time by imitating animals sounds and singing rhymes matching with play time.
