    Military Commander
    There was a major speculation that Arthur was made as military commander or as King. The stories revolving around King Arthur have been incessantly risen, painting Arthur as a king that will and has never done wrong.

    The Battle of Badon
    Arthurs skill as a military chief triumphed, Nennious conveyed " Arthur fought against them in those days with the kings and the Britons, but he himself was a leader of battles", And recounting the battle of Badon. " for which 960 men fell in one day . Britain then prevailed them as their defender.

    It usually depends on religion or culture when it comes to mythological belief/stories. E.g. The Lochness Monster originated in Scotland, so it's based on Scottish folklore. People who belong in the Scottish community would maybe believe it more than people like us.
