Today in class we made a belt balance. We used a tri-square to measure the lines we had to cut.We used timber wood blocks as our belt balance material. Some of the wood blocks were to big and we needed to cut a bit off.We used a bench hook to do this .To cut the block you needed a tenson saw and a bench vice to hold the block in place .You had to do three back saws to make a trench so that your saw doesn't move around and is in one place. The block is rough you use a bench sander to smoothen out your belt balance .Safety was important so we don't cut off a finger or two all the class followed the safety guidelines. I had a lot of funny cutting and trying to do my best.

over the last couple of days , we have made belt blances that balance a belt on your finger . The tools we used were tenon saw, bench hook,tri-square,belt sander, bench vice. We first put aprons on and mr moran explained to us what we would be doing. Mr.moran cut out a square piece of wood for us .we used the tri-square to measure the angles and the degress of the wood and drew it out on the wood with a pencil . Than mr. moran gave us partners i was with nathan;-);-) he went first to show me how you did it . I put my piece of wood in between the bench vice and i used the tenon saw (nathan helped me )to cut the piece of wood to make it the right shape and than i used the chisel to curve the edges. i than put safety googles on and rachel showed me how to use the belt sander and i straightened it out than we used the sander to straighten it out . MINE ACTUALLY WORKED:);)^_^after alot of sanding it down
