On top of that, i have included branching method (a.k.a. tree diagram), stack model,  excess-and-shortage model, visuals for Speed etc..  These visual techniques, usually found in Olympiad Maths,  have greatly reduced the dependency on memorising and rote learning. Consequently, students will discover the joy of learning Maths and students will be encouraged to ask questions.

2.   I have included alternative methods whenever possible so that  students can compare, learn and adopt their preferred method/s for other similar questions.

For every Chapter, re-do Worksheet 1 and the last Worksheet and another Worksheet in between.

For example, if there are 10 worksheets , re-do Worksheet 1, Worksheet 5 and then Worksheet 10. The worksheets are generally arranged in order of difficulty.

This will give you the confidence to attempt the PYPs or preliminary exam papers from other schools  Complete sets of the most difficult(usually from Singapore top primary school) preliminary paper and another preliminary paper from any other school.

2. For every question done, take note the areas that you are not familiar with and write down in a notebook and relook them again and again until you are familiar with.

3. For each question, use D.E.S.U.L. whenever possibe and solve them in as many ways as you possibly can. Quality of questions are now more important than quantity.

2. You child are encouraged to use models which you may not be familiar with because as adults, we tend to use Algebra to solve questions. Do encourage them to use visuals (mainly models) to solve questions,

3. Do remember to spend time together exercising or outing or even a simple meal. Exercise like a 40 minutes walk is preferred as you really spend time together.

4. Do give your child lots of encouragement and compliments
 
5. Last but not least, if your child is tired, take a break or many short breaks! But do not stop for too long :)
