         <description><![CDATA[<p>1. The southern states wanted to keep expanding slavery but the abolitionists wanted the end of slavery. When Abraham Lincoln was elected as president people left the united states because they were scared that he would abolish slavery. </p><p>2. According to Document E, African Americans had jobs, education, and overall a bit more freedom. However, this freedom was not completely free. For example, Document B shows the laws that laid out what free black people were not allowed to do.</p>]]></description>

With a huge segregation happening, one was able to secede. south was so greedy that they wanted to continue thw westward expandsion. </p></li><li><p>After the civil war, African Americans werent free yet, they were still in process of being free. In document A, it talks abt what ways were in African Americans freedom, But indocument B, their were blackcodes that were somewhat not freedom for African Americans. </p></li></ol>]]></description>
