Allows someone to use a small part of your work. But it has to be non-profit and the author has to be okay with it. Most of the time its okay to use it without permission but you have to follow the rules
        Example
You want to use a small part of a video for your class project. You are only allowed to use a small part of it and you can't say you made it. Its also a good thing to do if you credit the author.
Bad Example
You took a picture of mountains. Someone crops your image and uses it on their website for learning. They also credit you with links. Then you want to take it down or do something about it... But can't because of Fair Use

Allows anyone to use anything without permission.
     Example
You want to use a song in your video. You find a great song and it says that its not copyrighted. You can now use this song with out any permission. You also don't have to give credit to the source, but its cool if you do
   Bad Example
You see a video and repost the whole thing and give credit to yourself . Your also getting paid. Then it gets taken down and you think thats unfair cause they also took your money.

When you use someones else's work you will sometimes have to show others where you got the information from. You can do this by leaving a link if you use something from a website.
    Example
You want to use a picture for a slide that you have to make. The picture is not copyrighted but you want to credit the site. All you have to do is put the link of the site under the picture, or make a slide at the end listing all the sources.
