         <description><![CDATA[<div>Constructivism Theory applies the idea of process over product. Lessons that have a student who is learning through the method of creating a PRODUCT values precision, direction following, and create an option for only one correct "answer." PROCESS lessons value experimentation, exploration, questions, collaboration, investigation, and have open ended "answers" for finishing. Using constrivism with process over product can look like an art project with materials other than standardized tools, math story problems with a variety of tools to choose between, collaborative conversations, and activities that allow room for justification.  �</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>A constructivism early childhood classroom will also encompass many values with a print rich environment. A Print Rich classroom is a better practice for language and reading acquisition. A child will often use environmental print as an early form of reading. Adding article words or high frequency words to everyday common labeling in a classroom can allow students to subconsciously begin to use/read these words in context with the support of picture cues and prior knowledge.  <br><br></div>]]></description>

         <title>Choices and Variety -- No &quot;One path to One Answer&quot; Methods</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Another form that constructivism may appear in classroom environment is with environmental tool choices and options. A child with options for problem solving may use multiple methods to reach the same or varying answers. Math often needs a variety of tools: counters, snap cubes, ten frames, beads, number cards, scrap paper and pencils, and other items to process problem solving utilizing the CPA model. Concrete and pictorial means of solving math problems present the option to work through a problem using inquiry rather than a "one path to one answer" approach to math.&nbsp; Math can begin to become more fluid and a student can make connections between different mathematical concepts.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>When we allow students to utilize the Scientific Method as an approach to multiple subject areas, we allow students to practice thinking with more independence and open ended ideas accumulate.&nbsp; Students will feed off of each other imaginatively while writing, reflecting, brainstorming, and learn through play.&nbsp; This is an approach that encourages hands-on practices.&nbsp; Hands-on engagement activities are necessary for inquiry, guessing, testing, and concluding conversations in early childhood.&nbsp; This would be an experience based approach that encourages questions and multiple methods.</div>]]></description>
