Problems to Suburban Sprawl

When the population grows they need more housing units the question is were do they put them. They start to overcrowd the houses and when they add more and more homes people who live there have to drive to work and it creates more traffic. The air gets really polluted and its bad for the environment. Its hurting the wildlife environment because open spaces of land that the animals live in are being replaced with homes.

Solution to suburban sprawl

Some solutions was they started to make apartments and homes closer to jobs and schools so parents and kids could walk to school and not drive. They would build areas of apartments on top of stores and residential areas so everyone could walk to work and stores because it would use less gas. They made buses go around and pick up people so there only using one car instead of like ten so more people could get to work without using less gas.

Life in Slums

Life in slums in very dangerous. There is a lot of crime that happens and people can't really do much about it. When they have kids there kids usually follow the same path and its just a repeat and more slums are made. Slums are very overcrowded and barely any space to live. A lot of people feel trapped and can't do anything about it to get out.
