They start to overcrowd the houses and when they add more and more homes people who live there have to drive to work and it creates more traffic. The air gets really polluted and its bad for the environment. They would build areas of apartments on top of stores and residential areas so everyone could walk to work and stores because it would use less gas. There is a lot of crime that happens and people can't really do much about it. When they have kids there kids usually follow the same path and its just a repeat and more slums are made. Slums are very overcrowded and barely any space to live.
