I chose this painting as it highlights the problem in our law system, that people are already doomed since their birth. The ideas in this painting are important because of how we must address this problem. My ideas about the painting are similar or different than Connor's as he thought of this as people who drop out of high school are setting themselves up for prison, while there may be a correlation, I do not think that this is what the artist was trying to portray.

The ideas in this painting are important because these individuals undergo inhumane conditions during their time in jail, and this picture does a good job reflecting this by comparing these inmates to savage animals.


My ideas about this painting are similar to Andrew's because we've both been educated that people in prison face harsher conditions than the typical American, and this picture does a good job portraying this.
