In order to maintain its established religious approach and practice, Brunei has implemented moderate approach to Islamic teachings and it should only be taught by authoritative religious teachers. Brunei has also carried out strategies and policies to suppress any activities involving radical movements that could lead to terrorist attack. However, Brunei is not exempted from misleading religious practice which causes social confusion too. The government monitors this group of Islamic extremists such as Wahhabi and Kaum Muda very closely to prevent any religious issues arising.

Centralization of Islamic affairs in Brunei has shown a positive impact .This can be seen from several aspects such as maintaining peace, effective welfare system, improving its society, religion and state and strictly following Mazhab Shafi’i.
