The conference focused on showing different and healthy ways of "selling" the teachers' product. He emphasised the need to sell our time, more than our classes and offered some ideas about what not to do.
The conference helped me to get on track and value my time. Invest time in creating meaningful classes instead of wasting it trying to make the course more commercial.
As I watched it I realised about some misconceptions I had about discounts and what to offer and when.
The challenge I find is to rethink my teaching practice.

2/23/2018 with Susan Brodar
One of the phrases that I agree more is "learn English (or any other language) naturally" The session revolved around the use of different Internet tools to help teachers and students in the process of learning.
She mentioned some of the tools she used. What I liked about it is that she mentioned teaching to different backgrounds and the tools mentioned can be easily adapted .
Although I already know some of the tools, I found the others very interesting and I've already tried them to check the potential with my classes.

Wellness in Education for Adult Learners Online

2/24/2018 with Luis Palma
The topics of this presentation were: wellness of mind, body and spirit, Teachers can only manifest what they are and the middle path in wellness and teaching. It ended with a fantastic relaxation section.
If I had to choose among all the great presentations, I'd choose this one because the tools he gave us can be used immediately. Besides, the metaphor of the teacher and the house and the importance of the foundations lead me to rethink about the significance of mental wellness in the teaching profession.
The challenge after this presentation is to keep focused on the importance of mental well being above curriculum, parents, heads, etc.

On Learning Spaces and Cross Action Spaces

2/24/2018 with Ebba Ossiannilsson
the topic of the session was about the changes in learning spaces (virtual vs. physical/formal vs. informal) and the need to implement different assessment methods. It also focus on the urgency of applying more authentic and challenge-based methods.
However, the most innovative idea I found was to let the students build their own learning spaces. I think this is a fantastic idea and it sets a new challenge in my career.
I always think about how the world has changed in just a few years and how the industry adapt to those changes. Education, however reminds the same as the beginning of the XIX century as regards physical spaces and formal education.
There's one thing I wish it had been different during the session though. The fact that I only saw the slides and wasn't able to see the lecturer's face or interact in the chat box.

She gave emphasis to the collaboration and sharing-support.
She also mentioned the reasons for building a (PLN)Personal/professional Learning Network.
I found the session really encouraging because I am also an "old hat" and she made me feel full of renewed energy.

Teaching Unplugged and Plugging It In

2/25/2018 with Zoriana Diakm
Zoriana shared with us her experience with blended learning through the Teaching Unplugged Method which basically consist of teaching using the resources that teachers and students bring to the classroom and take advantage of whatever happens in the classroom.”
I find this methodology similar in some aspects to the ones mentioned by other lecturers. For instance "learn English naturally" mentioned by Susan Bordar or "let students (and teachers) build their own spaces, according to the circumstances.
Unfortunately, I wasn't able to participate all along the session because there was a problem with the system. However, I managed to get updated with the content by watching it in YouTube.
What I consider a challenge after watching the session is to take into account the new different types of learners (I only take into account the auditory, kinesthetic and visual) and to consider the different and more appropriate method of exposure.
Some of the thoughts that came to my mind were about the balance between traditional preparation of the class and let's -see -what- comes -up- today method. I think that knowing the students' needs is the paramount importance in order to work with this method efficiently

She discussed the topics of teaching online either by using an existing platform, (such as Moodle), a LMS (such as Wiziq)or developing your own website (Wordpress)-
She also pointed out the importance of having some programming knowledge ,she mentioned some key words related to programming- HTTP, FTP, IP-hosting and hosting plans. I found the information about password protection very useful.
A challenge should be get more acquainted with programming, something I do not totally discard of my future

How to avoid boredom of the quickest students? What happens with the students who "lose"?
One challenge after watching is to read "flow" .
