If you feel that you are in need of food parcels, then, in the first instance, please contact Mrs Ainscough or Miss Wood in

We would also like to remind parents and carers that any bikes or scooters brought onto school grounds are done so at your own risk. Bikes and scooters left on school property are not the responsibility of the school and we cannot accept liability for loss or damage.

This week in Collective Worship we have been looking at how the Bank of England, which designs and produces UK banknotes, has announced that future notes may feature British wildlife, such as plants and animals, instead of well‑known historical figures. While banknotes currently show the British monarch on the front and famous people from history on the back, some feel they should instead celebrate the natural world found across the UK.

This links to our school values: the Bible teaches that every person matters and deserves to be seen and heard. True representation means valuing everyone equally and respecting all backgrounds, while also caring for and celebrating God’s creation.

What an amazing week we have had in school! The sun has been shining, which has certainly been an added bonus and it has been wonderful to see the positive energy around our school.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your continued support with attendance since returning for the summer term. We have seen a real push and it truly makes a difference.

So far this term, 221 children have achieved 100% attendance. This means that over 80% of our pupils are attending school every single day – a fantastic achievement. I am also delighted to see the number of children with attendance below 90% continuing to decrease. In fact, we now have our lowest level of persistently absent pupils in the last five years, which is something we should all be proud of.

Our summer term attendance currently stands at 96.2%, meaning we are well on track for our Attendance Inflatable Celebration on the school field. Keep up the excellent work by attending school as much as possible – it truly gives children the best chance of success in the future.

Finally, we have seen a significant improvement in school uniform. As we prepare our children for high school and beyond, full school uniform and high expectations are important. Please be assured that these expectations are in place because we want the very best for every child.

Have a lovely extra‑long weekend. Please remember that Monday is a bank holiday and we look forward to seeing everyone back in school on Tuesday.
