10 years ago industrial engineering, the person had many tasks. They did not have a schedule and all the work was done without any process. It organized materials, labor also direct machine operations and recorder costs. Industrial engineers dis not apply standards or safety in the work. At this moment the “5S” is being implemented but in Colombia there are still accidents in all jobs, obviously in less quantity. People are preparing more and better. In the future, technological advances help the progress of manufacturing systems. Accidents should be minimized and processes can optimize times, this will increase profits and the industry will grow. Many companies maintain their competitiveness in globalized economies.
