         <description><![CDATA[<p><strong>National Historical Commission of the Philippines</strong></p><p><br></p><p>2 Things I have learned:</p><p><br></p><ul><li><p>NHCP keeps records of all historical events, even those that most people don’t usually pay much attention to. I tried searching one of the most unacknowledged history-related topic I know, and it showed up, proving that they make sure every part of our history is remembered.</p></li></ul><p><br></p><ul><li><p>With that said, I tried searching for Gen. Miguel Malvar, the forgotten president of the Philippines, and learned that he died due to liver disease. Anyway, despite becoming the head of the revolutionaries, his role is still rarely mentioned in common history lessons. Still, to me he would always remain the coolest general our country had.</p></li></ul>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>2 Things:</p><p><br></p><p>-I found out that the National Museum of Fine Arts is actually one of the most well-known and popular museums in the Philippines. While I was checking it out online, I saw all these paintings that really tell stories about our history, traditions, and big moments in the country.</p><p><br></p><p>-And you know what’s cool? Even just through the website, I got to see the works of General. Juan Luna, Fernando Amorsolo, and Carlos “Botong” Francisco. How truly legendary they are in shaping Philippine arts and culture.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>National Library of the Philippines :)</p><p><br/></p><p>2 things I've learned:</p><p><br/></p><p>• I found out that the National Library began in 1887 and now it's 100 years old! It started with only about a hundred books, kept for people to learn and read from. Over the years, it grew bigger and collected many more books, documents, and important records. Now, it is the country's main library and plays an important role in keeping and protecting the history and culture of the Philippines </p><p><br/></p><p>• I also learned that during World War II, the National Library lost most of its collection :( But it was able to save some of the country's most valuable treasures, like the original manuscripts of José Rizal's Noli Me Tangere, El filibusterismo, and his poem Mi último adios. These works were carefully protected and kept safe, even in the midst of war.</p>]]></description>

Marcos. They undergone renovations many times due to the earthquake and from the construction of the Rizal Park Open-Air Auditorium.</p><p><br/></p><p>I also learned that while they are renovating the National Planetarium they also upgrading it and adding new shows.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>The museum opened in 1926 as the home of the Philippine Legislature and National Library. And guess what? it also used to hold various roles, such as the seat of congress, the executive house during the martial law, and senate chambers until 1997. Ain't that interesting? this building is more than a museum itself!</p><p><br/></p><p>Not only that, The museum comprises 29 galleries and hallway exhibitions which covered a wide-range of styles, coming from 19th century masters to modern Filipino artists! This place holds practically different forms of art as well! Which includes paintings, sculptures, prints, drawings and photographs. </p>]]></description>

Originally constructed by the Canadian-American architect Ralph Harrington Doane between 1916 and 1918. After suffering damage during World War IT's Battle of Manila, the building was restored in 1949 while retaining its original five-story structure.</p><p><br/></p><p>- The cultural and archeological legacy of the Philippines is currently protected by the National Museum of Anthropology. It features the artwork, traditional attire, tools, and relics that illustrate the richness of Filipino culture. And in order to help everyone understand and value the nation's rich past, the museum provides educational events and exhibitions for the general public.</p><p><br/></p><p><br/></p>]]></description>
