This history project is about learning more about our neighborhood through the voices of people who live there. It includes interviews based on their experiences and stories. These people are mostly long time residents who know the area well. They share what makes the neighborhood special to them. Through their words, we understand how the community has changed and stayed the same.

And also, when people hear the name of Jhonston RI they think about a suburban town known for its friendly atmosphere. However, it is way more than this. What makes this neighborhood unique is its strong sense of community. Neighbors look out for one another and support local events. There are family-owned shops that have been around for years. This feeling of connection makes the neighborhood stand out.

A Clear claim about the neighborhood using two sources My neighborhood is special because it is full of history and strong community bonds. For example, according to one article titled Life in our neigbothood by smith , it states that most residents help keep the are safe and welcoming to evreyone. This illustrates that the neighborhood has been around for a long time and holds memories of many generations. Additionally, in another source, Titled “community events keep culture alive”. it says that residents work together and help eachother out by being respectful and considerate to one another and they are brought together to keep any tradition alive. This reveals that my neighborhood is not just a place to live, but a place where people care about one another.
