In cinematography there are many different aspects you need to consider. For example, you need to consider, the actors, the story, the feeling, or even the equipment you might use.

Camera Angles: In cinematography the angles you use can help depict things such as emotions. For example, if you use a low angle you can make the subject seem more dominant.

Camera Movements: You can use camera movement to follow a subject, set a scene or create a desired effect or emotion. A dolly shot helps create the feeling of the world collapsing in on you. This shot was most famously used in Jaws.

Shot Compositions: There are many different types of shot you may use. The extreme close-up is a great and easy to use shot that can portray a feeling of stress or anxiety. A long shot can be used the show how small the subject is.

Aspect Ratio: Aspect ratios can play a big part in story-telling. They can completely change the look and feel of a scene. For example, a director may use a 4:3 ratio to make the movie feel older and in some cases it can help immerse the viewer.

An example of this is Foley sounds which is a method of creating sound effects for something after recording; the sound of a horse galloping can be recreated using coconuts.

For example, you can use a over the shoulder shot where you start with putting your focus on the person and then slowly changing the focus to whatever they are looking at.

Depth of field depends on the aperture you use, F2.8 means there will be lots of bokeh with only some of the image in focus while and F22 means almost everything in the image will be completely in focus.
