Does a school have the right to discipline students for what they post on their social media pages?

*No, for what they do on their own time out of school is their bushiness, your not born to control anyone else's life. Staff and teachers only should worry about what happens INSIDE the school. Family and others can settle what happens out of schools. if someone throws a party and posted it and doesn't have your name in it, it doesn't have anything to do with staff. If a student that was tagged had a problem with it then they will let someone know, don't go in someones business for no reason.

Does a future boss have the right to Not hire a person based on what they have found on his or her social media pages?
Yes, I think that the future boss does have the right not to hire someone based on what they have found on there page because what if you are working for a company and an employee looks you up and they find something bad you company just lost business and then that person tell someone "them employees at that company are crazy." Then you lose even more business.

Does a school have the right to discipline students for what they post on their social media pages?
I disagree that schools have the right to punish you for what you put on your social media because it is outside of school and kids aren't your responsibility outside of school, But if someone puts on there something about school like there going to bring drugs to schools or fight at school then the school has the right.
