Discussed programming and engagement with community. 
County funded and had assumed "if you build it, they will come" and realized that doesn't work! Had to create programs to draw folks in. Target audience is local, Mexican-American people and artists. 
Non collecting institute and relies on other organizations for funding and resources.
La Cocina - exhibit opening soon on food. First rotation on corn. Next will be chocolate.
Pointed out that free admission doesnt eliminate all access needs of community. Uses mobile programs to take La Plaza programming directly into communities.
Discussed free community days.
Provided lists of film screenings that have been popular with their programming.
Suggested programs that are hyper local with independent films, local film artists. 
Suggested working with Belle Hernandez of Latin Heat.
