An information security develops the how data can be accessed by authorized individuals or establish security measures to keep information safe. Cybersecurity on the other hand, focuses on protecting information from cyberattacks and threats such as ransomware and spyware. Info security is a term for creating and maintaining systems and policies to protect any information - digital, physical or intellectual, not just data in cyberspace like cybersecurity. They are similar because they both protect data from threats, just the threats are difference.

Video resource: https://youtu.be/esoGCi2rZf4
Text resource: https://www.forbes.com/advisor/education/it-and-tech/information-security-vs-cybersecurity/

White Hat - Individuals who work for organizations and the government (can be paid employees) and try to find vulnerabilities in computer networks.

Black Hat - Highly skilled criminals who make money off of hacking organization systems.

They vary because white hat hackers try and help the organizations against the black hat hackers.

To effectively use multi-factor identification to enhance their security, companies should consider all types of users while locking the authentication factors for the application. Using multiple authentication factors like SMS text, email, phone call, biometric, ect... will give convenience and also protection. For a variety of users, it is not good to only have one authentication factor because although it may work for one person, there's a good chance it doesn't work for another.

A huge challenge that comes with biometric authentication is the very important information that it uses. If the data were to get compromised by hackers, the biometric data which can be fingerprints, iris scans, or facial recognition patterns can lead to irreversible consequences for individuals, including identity theft and unauthorized access.

Video resource: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tFv101qURKE&pp=ygUcbXVsdGkgZmFjdG9yIGF1dGhlbnRpY2F0aW9uIA%3D%3D

Text resource: https://mojoauth.com/blog/multi-factor-authentication-best-practices/#:~:text=9%20Multi-Factor%20Authentication%20Best%20Practices%201%201.%20Choose,8%208.%20Attack%20Resistance%20Factor%20...%20More%20items
