This event made people looking positively and forward. It was a sign of progress to the population. Due to the increased earnings culture and especially youth culture grew a lot. It was a period of optimism. The Teddy boys were considered their "spiritual ancestors. Then the “Mods” is an abbreviation for modernist. They were part of the fashion and the music particularly Pop, soul and R&B. Tthe “Rastas” - “The Rastas” was a group which were see by wearing Dreadlocks. Postwar immigration (in the 1950's) also attracted, for the first time, large numbers of workers and their families from outside Europe. This would breed resentment and antagonism between the residents of London and the migrants.There was, and still is, a minority of hardcore racists, with policies based on the idea of 'keeping Britain white' and banning all immigration.
