I lived in a small village far from the city. I liked watching my dog and sheep run free in the fields. In my village, I played soccer with my friends every afternoon after school. We kicked the ball a lot and laughed together. Every weekend, I traveled to Huamachuco to buy things for my grandpa’s store. I carried heavy bags and helped put them in the car. My grandparents smiled and laughed when I arrived with the stuff. On Saturdays, I cleaned the store shelves with my grandpa. I counted his money and put the things we bought in order. After school, I visited my grandparents’ house and helped them with their work. My grandma always cooked my favorite food, and I ate it all. Then, I watered the plants in her garden where she grew vegetables. I never missed a chance to help with their daily jobs. I always wanted to grow up and help my family and grandparents more.
