         <description><![CDATA[<div>Who- James Hutton discovered erosion, he was 57 years old, retired, and an amateur geologist    <br>What- Erosion is the process of Earth being worn away, often by water, wind, or ice.<br>When- James Hutton discovered erosion in the 1780's.<br>Where- Erosion takes place in rivers, canyons, mountains, etc. Some examples are the Grand Canyon and the Colorado River.<br>Why- Happens when weathering occurs, overtime destruction to different types of landforms. <br>How- Wind causes erosion by blowing sand onto rocks and soil, breaking it down over time.<br>Glaciers cause erosion by moving slowly over land, carving out the land. Water causes erosion by washing away sediment and moving it to other locations. </div>]]></description>

Chemical weathering is the break down of rocks caused by chemical reactions.<br>why-- this happens because the rocks are being broken down.<br>how-- the rocks break down by the changes of temp. and pressure, and by chemical reactions.<br>when-&nbsp; Chemical weathering is present when rain water reacts with the mineral grains in rocks. Mechanical weathering occurs whenever one rock hits another.
