Attitude towards nature is first and foremost a matter of education, of culture. Man is born and lives in a natural environment, dependent on the other elements of the biosphere with which he can and must establish relationships of harmony and respect for the specific features of the kingdom or species from which they come. As a member of nature, man must know its laws and obey them in order to avoid a conflict from which he would surely emerge defeated.
Through school and extracurricular activities, the student becomes aware of the fact that the environment is a living mechanism with a special complexity, on whose integration and good functioning the whole human activity depends.

The syllabus and content of Mathematics and Environmental Exploration / Natural Sciences address the human-environment relationship and the complex issue of environmental education in a systemic and interdisciplinary way, as it deals not only with the living-environment relationship and how man transforms nature, but also discovers the complexity of these relationships, the forms of physical, chemical and even biological pollution and their disastrous consequences on living things.

Through specific school and extracurricular activities, the student must become aware that the environment is a living mechanism, with a special complexity, on whose integration and proper functioning depends the whole human activity. Since today's society needs people who stand out not only for what they know, but also for what they can do, improving the relationship between man and the environment can only be achieved through practical activities in which we must all participate. The time has come when man must "make peace with nature," a peace with conditions of reciprocity for "both combatants."

It is necessary to pursue the formation of positive character traits - respect, admiration, protection, appreciation, compassion - that are established in man's relationship with nature. Without these traits, without proper conscience and conduct, there is a danger of destroying any relationship and of moving from harmony to a war from which man would have the most to lose.
