According to my Filipino friend Angela, Filipino's typically see a doctor for all illnesses, along with tons of home remedies. As shared on https://web.stanford.edu/group/ethnoger/filipino.html, they require interpersonal relationship; meaning that they expect to be treated as equal as the doctor or caregiver. They also have the "family responsibility" aspect. For example, when the parents get old, they will rely on the children to take care of them. Lastly, a lot of Filipinos will use the power of prayer and worship for their illnesses.

Home remedies are very popular healing methods in the Filipino Culture. For example, Ginger is very popular for sore throats, the flu, upset stomach, etc. Gogi berries are also used for weight loss. Also, the power of prayer is also used fequently. Some Filipino people will actually vist an "Ablularyo", which is an unprofessional healer. They use hand-me-down practices and use the power of prayer as well.
