Q1 - What is a fair minimum wage? What are your thoughts on the new Minimum Wage Ordinance passed in Seattle? What are your thoughts on the new California Legislation?

I think a fair minimum wage for employees working in California and nationwide in the U.S. is $18. This way it is not too little, but also not too much, since it is an entry level job. I think the Minimum Wage Ordinance passed in Seattle was a good improvement for worker's wages. I think $22 an hour is a little too much for a minimum wage job in fast food. As much as people need to be able to support themselves, fast food is not supposed to be a long-term job, it is generally a first, temporary job.

Q2 - Are you surprised to see how low minimum wage is in other states? Do you think that the minimum wage should be the same for all states or each individual state decide?

I am surprised to see how low some states minimum wage is. But also I was a little shocked at how much some states are as well. I think that each state should decide what their minimum wage is, because each state has different expenses. For example, California is more expensive than most states.
