To locate bias on the internet, look for opinionated words or unfair patterns in the reading. Additionally, compare sources to others to make sure you understand multiple perspectives.

A lesson that I have thought of to teach my students about Netiquette (digital citizenship) is I would hold a discussion with my class and ask the initial question of what they think Netiquette means. After I have gotten a census of what the class thinks the word means, I would break the word down and show them the picture that is under the Netiquette section explaining each word. Then I would show them the video that Francesca and I have provided about Netiquette. The comments will be appropriate for 3rd graders, of course, but they will either demonstrate good or bad examples of Netiquette.
