She has issues with auditory learning, and should either try to improve on this, or try to transform the material to a different learning style. Maybe taking notes during the presentation and then going over them after the lecture would help. 

If none of the above works, then maybe it might be worth considering talking to the lecturer about a different way to do the course work.
