Fidget: Accommodation for students that need a fidget as a tool

• Each student will be assigned a number, which will be displayed on their name tags for easy reference. Students will line up in numerical order, and their cubbies, backpack hooks, supplies, and technological resources will be organized according to their assigned number.

• These signals minimize disruptions by allowing students to communicate non-verbally without interrupting the lesson and encourage self-regulation. Visual reminders on the board ensure consistency and provide a quick, easy reference for students.

These activities help calm restless energy and improve focus, promoting emotional regulation, mindfulness, and establishing a predictable, calming routine.

EQUITY IN ACCESS 

Students who lack access to computers at home can use classroom resources to practice digital skills. This will help bridge the digital divide and prepare for a tech-driven world.
