Not having a device to work on assignments - provide LSF students with laptops to meet their needs. This could cause issues with students who don’t receive student funding but still don’t have a laptop.

This could be shared out in lessons or encourage students to come in early/late or days off to complete work.

Those who have misbehaved previously can often be regarded as difficult students throughout the year. To combat this, any negative action should be treated as a first negative action.

Poor knowledge of a topic can often be interpreted as poor engagement. A high achieving learner who misses the last question would get extra assistance, but a learner who misses all will be told to work harder.

I experienced this first hand myself. When I first arrived England, I was really struggled in using English to study, the college I studied at provided me a personal English tutor to have 1-1 sessions to boost up my English.

For example if you have a Muslim student that is really moody and they have not disclosed that they are fasting and you didn’t realise that they were fasting, or another example if you bring sweets into class that may have gelatine in them or that are not halal this would exclude them from having any and may make them feel uncomfortable.
