The first thing that I want mention in Chapter 6 that similar to today society is the way that prisoners who do not try to escape from the Palace of Corrective Detention. This illustrate the way the a lot of people in our society can't get out of their safe zone because they accept who they are. This is the same as the way that prisoners don't want to escape because they know what they did. They don't want to take risk to themselves.

The second thing that I find out that similar to the society today is when Equality introduced his new invention all of his brothers, he hopes that his brothers would like and accept his new invention. However, their reaction is unpredictable. They denied his invention, and they want to kill him. This can be the same as the society today because people don't want to step out of their safe zone to accept new things. For example, when some technologies just release , people usually react in the way that start to criticizing and complaint how bad that thing is. They get used to live in the life that everything that they are using currently is perfect and they can't get used to new things. Another example, when someone is smarter than others, they are being jealous and they want everyone has to be the same.

The reason that the Council rejected Equality invention is because he works by himself and the most important reason is not to ruin the Council's plan, which is stop growing what happen in the past. The Council wants everyone to be the same. For example, when you work in a business, you would not like anyone to be smarter than you because it would lower you down. Another reason is you will become jealous of that person, and you would try to harm them to benefit you. Take a look back to the reason why Council rejected Equality invention because its ruin the Council's plane, the Council rejected because he against the laws and also his invention will bring back the past. When he brings back the back, everyone would not be the same anymore, and everyone would hate each others.
