i) Route No.1 (BEM)

-Under this route, all the process will be conducted by BEM. 

-The assessment will be known as Professional Assessment Examination (PAE).

ii) Route No.2 (IEM)

-Under this route, all the process will be conducted by IEM. 

-The assessment will be known as Enhanced Professional Interview (Enhanced PI).

iii) Route No. 3

-Under this route, adopt the recognition of Professional Engineers from overseas regulatory bodies or known as Chartered Engineer.

A Professional Engineer who is registered with the Board may:

•The laws are mentioned in the Engineers Act, 1967.

•To perform duties as an engineer means to provide professional engineering services endorsed with the PE seal.

•But before we become a PE we must first become an engineer.

2.After a few years of practical  experience (supervised by a professional engineer or under mentorship program), the graduate engineer can apply to sit for a Professional Interview (with IEM or direct BEM). 

3.If he/she passes the Interview, he/she can apply to BEM to be a Professional Engineer that entitles him/her to use the title P.Eng.

What benefits does one receive upon being conferred the P.Eng status?
-Only a Professional Engineer can sign plans for submission to local authorities.

•Experience
After a few years of practical experience (supervised by a professional engineer or under mentorship program), the graduate engineer can apply to sit for a Professional Interview (with IEM or direct BEM).

3. use or display any sign, board, card or other device representing or implying that he is a Professional Engineer

4. use the stamp as may be determined by the Board.

PEPC
A Professional Engineer is a person registered under Section 10(2) of the Registration of Engineers Act 1967 (Revised 2015).

A Professional Engineer who is registered with the Board may:

1. take up employment that requires him to carry out or perform professional engineering services;

2. be entitled to describe himself or hold himself out under any name, style or title –

   - bearing the words "Professional Engineer" or the equivalent thereto in any other language;

   - bearing any other word whatsoever in any language which may reasonably be construed to imply that he is a  Professional  Engineer; or

   - using the abbreviation “Ir.” before his name or the abbreviation “P.Eng.” after his name or in any way in association with his name;

3. use or display any sign, board, card or other device representing or implying that he is a Professional Engineer;

4. use the stamp as may be determined by the Board.

Approval of national licenses for new research and development facilities, such as construction sector certification programs, repairs, improvements, manufacturing technology enterprises etc. The country needs a range of professionals with appropriate technical engineering titles.

Constructing a continual talent echelon, including reserve-related talent echelon, dramatically reduces the risk of loss of professional and technical talents (for example the resignation, work shifting, casualties, etc.).

Public financial and tax assistance in some countries. In other countries, you may apply for national high-tech companies for advanced qualifications and qualified personnel and receive regional tax cuts and talent subsidies.

Providing real business income including engineering and bidding requires professional workers with appropriate titles as qualified engineers.
