I realized that working part-time as a teenager can heavily impact a person later on in life. People can start big companies that will earn millions of dollars in the future by just working as a teenager. They realize that they can choose whether or not they can either spend, save, invest or give the money away. I also realize that I'm going to have to pay taxes whether I like it or not, and that is to pay for schools, hospitals, daycares, and so forth. You can have a habit on what you choose to do with your money, and it can be good or bad. People have to realize that they can lose money easily by spending a ton of money in a single day.

The first thing I take away is that the amount of money you earn and the amount of money you take home is two different things. I also learned that you can only recieve 1825 dollars in social security income no matter how much you’ve paid towards it. Lastly I take away the fact that we don’t really have a say in the way the government uses our money.

A few things that I took away from the book was that it would be best to start off with a part-time job because you’ll have an idea of what to do with the money you make. Another this would be that the more money you make, the more you have to spend on taxes, social security, and Medicare. And lastly, I took away that during the time of a persons career, they will take home around or more than 1,000,000 dollars

Another thing was that the more money you make the bigger percentage the government takes for taxes.

One thing that I learned from reading this book is that it is really important to get a part time job while you are a teenager. A part time job can help teach and discipline you on how to manage and save your own money that you work hard to earn. It also helps prepare you for the future when you get a full time job and need to manage all of your finances. Another thing that I took away from this book is that you are never to young to start learning how to manage your finances. You will be better off to learn about saving, budgeting and spending while you are younger and aren’t paying for everything yourself and when you can learn from others mistakes, rather then go out into the real world and not know anything about how to spend and save your money wisely. One last thing that I learned from reading this book is that it doesn’t matter if your rich or poor, if you pay close attention to your finances and manage your money well then you could become a millionaire one day. Also that most people have a million dollars slip through their hands throughout their life but they don’t ever get to keep it all because the government takes a lot in taxes and because most people don’t really know how to manage their money.
