Since I joined Baernation, I have always wanted to work with you. I thought , I will never have the chance. Heaven must have heard my fervent prayer. Where have all the years gone…it seems like just yesterday when you began your journey at Baer. There are so many memories…stuck in the elevator on the first day of ESY…moving and grooving with your “Happy Feet” during dance class...those wonderful birthday parties…the plaid shoes that match my shirt…smiles, smiles, smiles, and more smile....firm yet loving…patient and kind….guiding light, brave, courageous and Beautiful Inside and Out. At that time Rm. 123 was the Baer cafe I might say and Mr. Scott was the the teacher and Ms. Zee was his Para. Those were the days. Mr. Scott was n't "having it" You need coffee you better get it and be done before the school buses star to unload!!!! I was in the room and you walked to me and you started talking to me as if you knew. Mr.Scott was n't having it so he put you out. Well, I don't know what you saw in me, but you just kept coming to talk to me. I was not an employee at that time I was just doing my internship. My internship was over and for what ever reason I came to Baer on days that I am off from my work just to volunteer. In Feb 24th 2001 I started working at Baer and our friendship just blossomed into sisterhood. Now when your Little Sister is retiring you know something is wrong with Big Sister. Well the is call plain old good planning and I don't envy cos God's timing is the best. You have paid your dues to society by working with BCPSS all these years and now is time to go and do as you please!!!!!!!!!!!. My dear Sister, It has been a great privilege to have you as my friend and a true Sister. My lunch breaks will never be the same without you, Sister Marlyn, and Uncle Robert. Even Mr. Jed can testify to that. Remember one day when Jed was making his rounds and came in 123 saw us: Robert, Marlyn, David, you, and I. eating, and just having fun? What did he do? He could not help himself but nodded his head, smiled and walked away.
I will forever cherish our Friendship/Sisterhood, all the blessings, and memories.
