These two orchestras are both in one of the leading American orchestras popularly known as the "Big Five." This orchestra was founded in 1842, so it's one of the oldest institutions in the United States and it is also the oldest in the "Big Five" orchestra group. They have performed over 15,000 concerts. In 1846, they premiered their first performance of Beethoven's Symphony No. 9. Beethoven is one of the most well known canons. The Boston symphony orchestra also performs well known composers currently such as Mozart. I noticed that there were a lot more woman than I had imagined, but still there were more men than women overall. I also noticed the age. I found men that were very old as well as quite young. I think that classical music has grown out of the old adult stage and younger people are beginning to enjoy it as well.

This song was a lot more upbeat and fast pace than most of the classical songs I have listened to. I think this group is different because they perform a song that seems like it would be outside of the canon. I felt like I was in a rush to go somewhere important. There was this fast pace tempo and I felt like it was going faster and faster as time went on. I could feel the time ticking as if I was running out of time. It felt like I was in a journey.
